We Are Promotional Products Fundraiser for Derwen College

Adam, Josh and Dean are hard in training for a half marathon which takes place on April the 30th in Oswestry, Shropshire. We are fundraising for a local college for adults with learning difficulties called the ‘Derwen College’. The college has given the platform to thousands of students, helping to realise and reach their potential. We have a target of £1000 which will go towards the repair of the swimming pool at the college. To donate online, please use the virgin money app below. Thanks for your support.

    The Oswestry Half Marathon Route

The Oswestry half marathon starts at the British Ironworks Centre, their 90-acre grounds is home to their famous Sculpture Park, which consists of like-like animals such as Wildebeest, Cheetah’s, Elephants and more. The race then heads to the historical border town of Oswestry, where the history can literally be read as the road signs are in both English and Welsh. The road names show the town has been in both countries and now currently resides in England. The race continues past the Parish Church of St Oswald, that dates to approximately 1200 AD, then continues through the town centre back to the Sculpture park. The competitors finish the race at the Athletes Village where they are awarded T-shirts, goodie bags and a bespoke medals designed by the British Ironworks Centre.

    About the Derwen College

Derwen College - Where Learning Comes to Life

The Derwen College provides professional education to over 250 students both in residential and day placements. The Ofsted graded college that is celebrating its 90th birthday has been able to meet both separate and group needs of young people aged 16 to 25 with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities. The charity runs fundraising events throughout the year, so we thought we’d get involved with this local event. At their shopping & leisure outlets the students show the vital work skills that have been taught by qualified teachers. The public can enjoy visits to the Garden Centre, Young’s Farm Shop, Garden Café and the Orangery restaurant all year round.

Derwen College is a Registered Charity No. 1153280
